Hi everyone welcome to another random Monday blog post. Ill try to keep this short and sweet since my planet needs me. Friend is a term that gets thrown around and mistakenly used in cases where acquaintance would be better suited. A real friend is far and few apart and should be cherished accordingly as they not only improve your surrounding but your overall life in general. Last Monday I talked about changes I would be making in my life after my near death experience. Soon you will be introduced to my newest friend Tigger, but that is for another time. I almost lost a very near and dear friend to my heart because of some oversights on my part. Word of advice people never get complacent and take real friends for granted cause you don't always get a second chance to fix your mistakes in life. One of the worst feelings to experience is regret and having to live with that as a painful reminder is that much worse.

Well we are back again for yet another Monday random blog. Today I was gonna write about Valentines Day since its this week but I kinda did that last year and my views are pretty much the same on that so figured would tackle something new. For our Valentines Day post feel free to click this link if you are a new viewer or haven't seen it already. Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month in America, is an annual observance in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom for remembrance of important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated annually in the United States and Canada in February and the United Kingdom in October. Even though its primarily celebrated in these countries Black People celebrate and recognize the month of February all across the world. Granted I don't live in the aforementioned countries but I can't help but wonder; do you even care that its black history month?
The weeks leading into Black History month were rife with controversy from the circulation of the above picture. Now I can't imagine this being a good idea but i'm sure the person that did this knew this would happen and spur publicity for the party. Its no stretch of the imagine to figure that historic black figures would be disappointed with how we as a people have grown over time. Popular satirical cartoon series The Boondocks made mention of a similar situation and the overall development of our people and all they fought for. Seems only right I let y'all watch that...
After watching that do you think that is an accurate justification of our current societal views on ourselves as a people? I'm not really sure what I as an individual can do or say to appeal to my fellow black people but as a nerd and denizen of the Internet I figure this small gesture might be of some consequence to someone. Here is a link to download the recently highly anticipated movie "12 Years A Slave". Watch it and comment your thoughts on the movie or Black History month or both. Every year Black History Month sparks an annual debate about the continued usefulness and fairness of a designated month dedicated to the history of one race. Many people hold concerns about black history being delegated to a single month and the "hero worship" of some of the historical figures often recognized. Do you think we deserve a month? Is that enough? One person suggested we should be exempted from paying all taxes; personally I like that last idea a lot.

Hi everyone and welcome to our first truly random Monday blogpost in a while. Taking a break from the usual Monday Night Movie Club posts and get back into talking about random shit. So this weekend I went to the graduation ceremony at my Alma Mater; Northern Caribbean University. Figured I would go and show some support for some friends and see what it is like being a spectator since the last graduation I went was my own. Sufficed to say NCU does not spare any expense in making the graduation process an epic gala event. It spans the entire weekend from Friday right back until Sunday which is when the actual commencement takes place with two groups due to the large number of graduates. One procession takes place in the early morning hours around eight o'clock while the second one begins at around one o'clock in the afternoon. Check this intro video out...
Quite the full hectic schedule, definitely didn't realize all this took place when I was graduating. Mostly cause I didn't really give a shit so missed all the grad class meetings and planning and what not. At the end of the day though a lot of thought effort and planning goes into orchestrating this entire weekend so its only fair that one makes the effort to enjoy and participate in the festivities as best as one can. Granted some of these things, speech's and presentations alike can be boring, but at the end of the day this is why portable gaming is involved. Best believe I was playing the shit out of my PSP at my graduation ceremony and even more so now as a spectator attending the event. Then again not everyone is a hardcore gamer like me so some people actually like to pay attention on the rare chance that entertaining things like this happen...
All in all it was a fun filled day of commencement, lots of happy smiling faces and feelings of both elation and sadness. Finally achieving what they set out to do and gain a degree but also having to leave behind everything they have grown to know and love over the last 4 years of their life. It is truly a double edged sword as the students at the end of their journey achieve qualifications to set them above the rest but sadly most will spend the up coming weeks, months, maybe even years trying to find a job. As both an alumni and spectator I sigh knowing the plight that is out there that many of them will face but its all a part of growing up in these troubled times and it helps you grow as an individual and builds your character. Just sucks that they don't warn you about this stuff before you go out into the world but then again I guess that's why there is so many jobs available on campus to help you get some work experience under your belt. Some degrees actual give you opportunities for internship and practicum to see what working in your field of study is like first hand and get a bit of the ever valuable work experience under your belt. Not to be too much of a downer, but in the end graduations are definitely a happy time to be celebrated and enjoyed by one and all so just go for it. Worry about that stuff later I guess...*sike!!!*

So here we are, selflessly toiling away for the greater good as we find ourselves together again for another random Monday blog post here on In The Mind Of My Mind. I went home this weekend to visit my parents but got wet in the rain so now i'm here sick as hell. Sucks but that's how it goes when you are a puny pink flesh bag. Anywhore been mulling around the idea in my head to maybe have a movie club of sorts on some Monday blog posts and see what can come forth from the idea. So i'm thinking essentially I would pick one of my favorite actors and find an old movie they are in for us to watch then write up a review and have you guys the readers post your thoughts and opinions of the movie as well. I'll try my best to source the movie for you as well in case you don't have NetFlix or some alternative means of getting the movie yourself. Anyways its a work in progress so for now let's get into the Monday randomness.
So last night was the BET awards and boy oh boy was it quite the spectacle. Stellar performances by a wide range of artists including Nicki Minaj, Ciara, Chris Brown, Usher, etc. Here on the tiny island of Jamaica though social media has been running rampant non-stop with talk of the stellar surprise Dancehall performance that took place. We saw the likes of Chaka Demus and Pliers taking it back old school and artists such as self proclaimed King of the Dancehall himself Beenie Man representing the new school. As you can see from the video above everyone was definitely feeling the island beats and rocking out last night at the 2013 BET Awards Show.
Brand new anti-smoking law to take place here in Jamaica. As of July 15th an island-wide ban on smoking in certain areas will be in effect. The Public Health (Tobacco Control) Regulations Law, 2013 will cover:
* All enclosed places;
* Public transportation;
* Workplaces;
* Government-owned and occupied buildings;
* Health facilities, including pharmacies;
* Public sports, athletic and recreational facilities;
* Educational institutions;
* Areas specified for use by children; and
* Places for collective use such as bus stops.
So to be crystal clear if you are caught smoking in any of the aforementioned areas your ass is grass. Failure to comply will result, in the first instance, in a fine not exceeding $50,000 or imprisonment for a term of not more than three months, or both. In the second instance, fines will be not more than $500,000 or six months behind bars. Subsequent to that, a term of imprisonment not exceeding 12 months will take effect. For corporate bodies such as nightclubs, the failure to comply will attract fines not exceeding $1 million. In accordance with the ban, the minister said establishments will have six months within which to post 'No smoking' signs, and tobacco products will carry large, graphic health warnings instead of the text only warnings currently used. I'm know some people torn on this topic as yes its a good idea from a health perspective but then one also takes into consideration peoples rights and freedom as some argue that it is robbing them of there freedom to smoke. II feel the ban is justifiable as the Pros outweigh the cons and at the end of the day you can just smoke at home or somewhere that is not listed in the above mentioned list. Should be very interesting to see how they plan on enforcing this law as rumors of corruption in the police force run rampant enough as it is as far as bribes and such go.

So a couple weeks back I wrote a blog talking about women and what they want from a man. Granted it was quite the long winded expose of sorts but we somehow got through it in one piece; you can go check it if you haven't seen it here: http://zalgocometh.blogspot.com/2013/05/the-dilemma-of-nice-guy.html. With that being said on today's random blog-post I figured I would talk about the similar topic but from a different angle I have been thinking of. So I been thinking a lot about life and companionship and how as humans we really don't exist on this world to end up alone and without someone to compliment our personality and being as individuals. Sadly however this seems to have become near impossible or at the very least increasingly difficult with each generation that passes. Whether this is due to feminism, a change in societal views or maybe we as men have lost sight of what a man should be and and woman should be but something has gone very awry. This current state of affairs leaves men asking the above "just what do these women really want from us?" but in reality we are more wondering why don't they want what we expect them to want?

Once you have begun your journey to secure the man you so desire you have the maintenance aspect to ascertain. At the end of the day a mans desires or goals for interaction with a woman are usually pretty clear. He either wants sex, wants to be just friends, or wants to be friends until he can get sex with minimal complications. As such there isn't much guessing that needs to be done on the woman's part in terms of what it takes to keep and/or please your man; so this is why I feel the onus of the relationship initiation process should fall primarily with the female to ascertain whether or not her intended male is worthy of such from her. From there she can help the man to shape and improve himself to be the perfect match for her and she can provide the love and devotion he needs from her. You don't need the distractions of what is around you or may appeal to you because that will only lead to problems; people say they need space from their partner all the time which I think is dumb. If that's the case why the hell did you bother getting a partner if your space is that important to you in the first place. They say the devil finds work for idle hands but I say if you have your hands all around your partner loving them then what else you gonna go find time for?
more.
Lets take it back for a second; kick it old school for a bit. Granted the olden ways may or may not be the best ways but if there wasn't some truth to the saying then it wouldn't exist in the first place. So back in the days of time long ago when we had kings and queens and prince and princess's and peasants and paupers; ok you get the idea . Back in medieval times granted women were somewhat repressed and not afforded most the opportunities men were but these were simpler times when all a man had to do was prove his valor to earn his fair maiden's hand in marriage; well that or slay a dragon I guess but ain't no body got time for that. Fast forward to the age of the 60's when it was all peace and love all around and people were way open and upfront with drugs, peace and love. There weren't really any rules or mixed messages you were just either down with the flower power or you were a square who was just a lackey for the government and against freedom.This was probably where the age of female empowerment and feminism started kicking off and would forever change the gender roles for years to come.
Salt N Pepa - Independent by jpdc11
So with feminism empowering women all the round world we saw a dramatic change in women and how they saw their roles in society. Somewhere along the line women started wanting to not only be treated equally but also allowed the same tendencies as men. Essentially becoming what they saw as a man and having that level of equality in their head. We see cases of this in the media such as the song above shows compound that with the thought with this new found independence and freedom the woman no longer even needs a man because she feels she runs shit and was truly meant to be a strong independent woman. Now i'm not saying there is nothing wrong with a woman wanting to have equal rights and self worth but I think when it gets to the stage where you feel you don't need or what a man or that none are out there for you that you need to realize that there is much fuckery afoot. Just because you are afforded some of the things men had over the years does not disavow the fact that at your core you are a woman and are held at such the standards that are what define a woman. As such men will still try to hold the door open for you at times or see you as the fairer sex and want to shelter and protect you. It is not an insult or a ploy to downplay your independence and strength because we as men all have and love our mothers so respect is always due in some way or another. So lets look at some of the things men hope for/expect from women.
No mind games, no second guessing, no hints just be open and upfront. All the years of feminism and equality talks and you want us to believe you don't have the confidence to this day to speak up? Nah; ain't nobody got time for that. If you are a blessed woman who actually knows what she wants you really shouldn't be downplaying your uniqueness and lowering yourself to the common woman's status. This is quite possibly one of the sexiest things a woman can do; when she exudes confidence she basically confuses the guy cause he is more than likely not used to a woman being like that; essentially being the hunter and not the hunted. Just know that the onus is on you to not only get but also hold on to the good in the man that you see and want for yourself. Once you accomplish this and essentially have secured your man you will bring out the best in him continually and he will do so with you continually to ensure both parties involvement and happiness. If you want something serious say you want something serious, if you want a fuck buddy then say you want a fuck buddy. Take nothing for granted and explain everything and you will see the quality of your life with men increase I guaran-damn-tee it. This is your first step to being more than a woman...
They say the devil finds work for idle hands but I say if you have your hands all around your partner loving them then what else you gonna go find time for?
Let me try to wrap this all up and hope I haven't confused and lost you by now. You know that saying if you think it you can achieve it? Well as cliche as that sounds its actually a reality but the problem is that figuring out what a lady wants when you aren't one is a tricky game. Most women either aren't sure what they really need or want a mid balance which is hard to achieve. They want a respectful man but in the same breath want a strong authoritative man who will tell them what to do but still somehow not ignore what it is that they want in the process. They want a man that will listen to them rant and complain but at the same time not point out the flaws and fallacies of what they are complaining about. they want a man who is great at sex but also respectful of her body and when it is she wants to have sex or not even though a man has a much higher sex drive than a woman in most cases. The list goes on and on, balance isn't impossible in some cases but have you ever tried balancing a father on a needle? that shit ain't easy; so I feel its better to eliminate the second guessing and just let the man know straight up what it is he is getting himself into and working towards securing for himself and his future. Let him know what he is making a decision towards putting up with for the future to come. Courting is most definitely still a man's responsibility but the onus is on the woman to guide and give feedback along the way to show that whatever effort the man is to make is abundantly worthwhile and necessary because you are more than a woman.
So basically if tldr; watch from the 1:13 mark cause it will eliminate a lot of the unnecessary relationship head games:

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the long waited day. It finally happened; Microsoft hit the stage an revealed to the world their submission into the next generation of gaming aptly titled the XBOX One. Now I know I have never been much of an advocate for XBOX related gaming since i'm a PlayStation fan-boy at heart but I figured since I did a post on the PS4 release it is only fair that I do one for this as well in the interest of video game journalism. So with that being said lets take a look at the press conference unveiling for the Xbox One.
You can skip to the 1:27:30 to watch the actual start of the press conference if you don't feel like sitting through the entire color commentary of IGN covering the event. If you haven't watched it and don't want spoilers go back up and finish. ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** don't say I didn't warn you; so without a doubt comparisons have been long awaited to be cast between the PS4 reveal press conference and this and I must say Microsoft did play for play pretty much exactly as I would have expected from them with their current marketing scheme. Minimal actual gaming with a hard focus on the interoperability of the dashboard and Kinect with a hint of sporting appeal for the mass market. One thing I will say though; they definitely got the upper hand on Sony's press conference by actually showing the console in its entirety so now the pressure seems to be on Sony to put all their cards on the table come E3. As far as an overall showing comparison wise between the two press conferences I would say Microsoft had the most to offer as far as showing what their next console actually is and what its main focus will be.
The Xbox One will feature a wide variety of features aimed at capitalizing on its name as the One piece of technology you will need to have a complete at home entertainment setup. It will be your computer to surf the internet, the console to play your games on, your cable provider to deliver you all your favorite shows and sporting events, and so much more. Hopefully you watched the video and have a firm grasp on the capabilities of this new next gen console so I wont have to go into details but here are the top 5 noteworthy points:
- Vibration motors ("impulse triggers") in the triggers
- The d-pad on the controller has been redefined to be much better and precise.
- The Xbox One has a disc loader like the PS3 instead of its traditional disc tray.
- The Xbox One has both HDMI in and out ports.
- Xbox One utilizes blue ray technology finally so say bye bye to DVD's.
![]() |
Here you see the final specs that will be available for retail in the Xbox One |
Now lets take a look at the top 5 things that were not shown or not answered in this press conference:
- Will the console be required to always be online?
- Will gamertags and gamerscores be transferable?
- Will the Kinect no longer be pushed as an addition to the potential gaming library or will it just be used for apps?
- Price of the console and an actual sales date.
- Live Video Game Demos!!!
Numbers 1,4, and 5 are the most pertinent and pressing that have the social media world a blaze with rumors and speculation and anger. Many denizens of the online world especially took to Twitter and Tumblr and voiced their concerns as such. I'm not exactly sure if maybe people realized or knew that Microsoft had already planned on having the press conference in two parts. Part one being the unveiling primarily of the console and its hardware and part 2 being most likely about the gaming and software side of the console. So for those hungry to see that side of things you will just have to wait until E3 in 19 days. So for those that are up in arms about what they didn't see or don't like about the presentation just chill and wait for part two at E3 cause you just gotta...
With all that said and done the most important thing to take away from all of this is the final comparison that can now be made between both the latest next generation consoles. Cause we all know that the console wars are never ending so who do you think will come out on top with this upcoming generation of gaming consoles? Leave a comment with where your money will be going and why...

Whether its qwopping, exercising, cosplaying, shopping, sex, volunteering; we all as human beings need an outlet where we can enjoy ourself. This is primarily referred to as a hobby; this is defined as an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure. Personally I blog as my hobby even though at times it feels like work but I also play video games, surf the net, read manga, watch anime and do PC repairs. Different people have different hobbies but one thing is certain; you need to have at least one so you can lead a happy and healthy life. The more the merrier so if you have a hobby don't waste it, cause even men locked up in prison make the most of their hobbies so why shouldn't you?
So whats stopping you? Share your thoughts and hobbies in the comment section below...

Not necessarily the man of steel even though he wears suits of steel but meh; close enough. I recently watched Iron Man 3 and since there is so much buzz going around about this movie I figured I would make a little post about its awesomeness. So consider this a synopsis or review I guess. For those that don't know two small disclaimers: potential spoilers ahead and no this is not a movie about a sexy man who irons ladies so don't get your panties in a bunch.
Iron Man 3 (stylized onscreen as Iron Man Three) is a 2013 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, produced by Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to Iron Man and Iron Man 2, and the seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the first major release in the franchise since the crossover film The Avengers. Iron Man 3 starts off with Tony Stark recalling a New Years Eve party in 1999 with scientist Maya Hansen, inventor of Extremis - an experimental regenerative treatment intended to allow recovery from crippling injuries. Disabled scientist Aldrich Killian offers them a place in his company Advanced Idea Mechanics, but is turned down. This sets up the major plot point of the movie to come later on so try to remember that. For those that may not be up to date on where the trilogy is you can check this out to get up to speed if you haven't already:
One would imagine this movie to be a hardcore action superhero based movie but honestly I found it to be more of a comedy than a hard core action movie. Now don't get me wrong there is definitely action and plenty of it too but more comedy comes out from the dialog and interactions of the cast. This final installment of the Iron Man series definitely does an excellent job of closing out the trilogy following akin in the footsteps of the Dark Knight trilogy where the primary focus is on the man behind the superhero and how he copes and deals with his inner demons. This movie gave a very introspective look into the Tony Stark character and focused less on the imagery of his Iron Man persona. Now granted this movie is epic and you should most definitely go check it out this wouldn't be the internet if somehow somewhere someone found fault with this movie. That award belongs to many of the hardcore comic book fans out there as many were both disappointed with the major plot twist concerning the Mandarin as well as the comedic nature of sorts that the movie took on. Sadly you can't please everyone but seemingly you can please the majority as Iron Man 3 as of writing this movie has the No. 2 North American opening of all time, after another film that featured Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark – last summer's "The Avengers," which took in $207.4 million. With that being said you should go watch this movie; I tried to write this with as minimal spoilers as possible so don't let my hard work go to waste; screw it, we get to see Pepper Potts wear and use an Iron Man suit and it was so epic.

Whats up with y'all? Another random Monday night blog here for your viewing pleasure; want to take this time to just make mention of a disturbingly growing trend I noticed of late. More and more beggars on the road these days are either grown adults or children seeking money for lunch, bus-fare or books. I know these are trying times for our nation of Jamaica but when did being a beggar suddenly become ok? I remember growing up and my parents told me that I should never beg because it was not proper. You know like how parents tell their kids not to talk to strangers or don't accept candy from random people; it was one of those kinda rules. Its like now I can't go a day or two without either seeing a mother with a baby begging or a kid in uniform approaching me calling me sir asking for bus-fare.
more.
I'm a firmly against begging but I realize in our society it is inevitably due to world wide recession and dire straits that people face on a day to day basis. I however believe in compromise so if begging is the only avenue left available to you as an individual at least show me you are willing to work for what you want and not just expect society to hand feed you and provide money for you. We already do enough of that; its called paying taxes. Either entertain me or make me laugh but don't just expect that flaunting your child or feeding me some sob story deems you worthy of getting my hard earned money. See that guy in the video above, I would without a doubt give him money cause that shit is cool as hell.

So now that we are all up to speed both locally and internationally let me further point out that this incident took place on the campus of one of the islands leading Tertiary institutions. This effectively means that the future minds of this country are who you are seeing carrying on in this manner calling for the blood of their fellow countrymen. Mob justice or vigilante justice is becoming an increasingly worrisome trend in our country then couple that with justification of violence against homosexuals with bible verses and religious ideology its easy to see for the most part why we are a third world country. This incident from start to finish has been one big clusterfuck of wrongdoing from the gentlemen that were chased, to the security guards, to the mob of students wanting to beat them, to the views of the general populous being that they should have been killed and on and on and on. Lets look at some major factors in this drama...
Even though i'm against the viewpoint of using religion in any sensible argument not everyone shares that thought. So pretty much 90% of all people in Jamaica that share the mobs mentality of homosexuality will usually use the go to excuse that the bible says homosexuality is wrong. They might even go as far as to quote bible scriptures; a tried and true favorite is "Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." (NIV)". So let me get this straight you who are in your own right not perfect and just as bad a sinner as anyone else by the standards set in the bible you quote and love so dearly are justifying taking a life. Furthermore this same book these people place all their 'convenient' faith in clearly states as a commandment that you shouldn't kill. I say convenient because most of them only use it as a reference to further/justify their own means. Compound that with the fact that i'm sure it says somewhere in there not to judge others lest you be judged or something paraphrased in that manner about stone casting and so forth. So yet again using an ideal that is based in FAITH and interpretation isn't exactly the best way to go; the laws of the land are the laws of the land. As such the culprits should have simply been apprehended and brought to justice and given due course. Not threatened and beaten and denied their basic human rights.
Frankly speaking only gay women have any rights here in Jamaica. This is only because of a law technicality where it explicitly acknowledges men but makes no mention of females as stated by the LBGT Rights Act. By no means should anyone tell you that you can choose or embrace your sexuality choice but the onus is on you as the individual to recognize your environment and act accordingly. Granted ideally as intellectual beings we should know better and do better, you have to be mindful of close minded people who may not share your particular zeal for your personal choices. This is why things such as invasion of privacy were invented as statures of law, what you choose to do in the comfort of your own home or behind closed doors is the one thing you have as a homosexual that puts the law on your side. This is your best bet for leading a somewhat happy existence that or moving to a more forward thinking country that shares your ideals for human rights. The two gentlemen shouldn't have been that stupid to think getting it on in a bathroom stall was a good idea. Not only are you at risk of getting caught and charges of buggery brought against you but also to be charged for public indecency and risk a beating/lynching from a mob.
This is a no-brainer from a professional standpoint. You are a security guard; essentially a watered down policeman meant to uphold the same ideals of protecting and serving. You do not and I repeat do not take people into custody and beat them at your whim. Not even the freaking military is allowed to do that without just cause; so what the hell makes you think a lowly security guard such as yourself has the right..? Don't you think its a reason that he ran to you and not away from you? Silly security guards punches and kicks are for kids. Adults shouldn't solve problems like that. Public outcry was for them to be fired and charges brought against them but the way I see it that probably wont happen. They will just be fired form the company so it can save face. I wish them the best of luck and hope they are repentant of what they did and never have gay children.
The students of the school; oh the students of the school. Where do I even start? The future leaders of tomorrow seeking tertiary education but cannot seek the common decency to uphold the law and not resort to vigilante justice. Even if something sickens you can you not tolerate it for long enough to remove yourself from its presence or wait for it to remove itself? Granted it is even these same people that fly overseas and interact with homosexuals on a day to day basis. Do they rile up and act like ignorant ass niggers when overseas? I think not, so why not practice the same decorum at home? They regular people like you, granted with slight chemical balance indifference's at times but essentially the same as you and me. If you hate homosexuality and are so intolerant of it then you probably shouldn't be using the computer to read this as one of the main influences of that luxury you enjoy today was gay. Don't believe me feel free to check him out yourself, the one and only Alan Mathison Turing.
Congratulations if you made it this far; you are either highly pissed at what I have said an dare building a suitable counter argument or you somewhat share my viewpoint and genuinely liked what you read. People of Jamaica I implore to take a step back and think about what this so called tradition and legacy you hold so dear will do to shape this country for future generations. Granted homosexuals can be a bit forward or uppity at times that is their right as human beings just like any other asshole. Try to practice tolerance that is all one can ask. You cannot be judge jury and executioner all in the name of a holy war no one asked you to fight specifically. If you truly believe from a religious standpoint that whatever homosexual acts are being done is truly egregious then leave it to the creator to deal with as he sees fit when the day of reckoning is upon us all. Any Jamaican homosexuals who may be reading this as well please keep in mind where you are and show some respect and decorum for the laws of the land the the mentality of the people. Yes you deserve your rights an dyes you shouldn't have to hide how you feel. Just like it took the slaves years upon years to overcome the oppression they faced it will not happen worldwide overnight for you. Inch the door to your acceptance open bit by bit; don't just try to force it wide open.

Hey you there; come here a second. Closer, take a look over here. Yep you guessed it; another Monday blog post...
So last week we talked about some shit I don't like and it seemingly went somewhat well enough. Actually got some of y'all to take the time to respond and post comments as well so that's always nice. Anywhore this is basically part two so proudly presenting for your entertainment more shit I don't like.
Condescending Assholes:
Don't know how many of you remember this commercial but it was all the rage back in the day. Now I am not saying you shouldn't have pride in a skill or talent by any means. What specifically I am referring to that I don't like is people who are overbearingly judgmental of other people when they themselves know that they aren't much better or in some cases any better than the person they are judging. Perfect example would be those girls that have the time to chat and gossip about other girls live and tease and ridicule them when their life really is not better off so they feel this innate need to belittle others just so they can feel better about their pathetic existence. Come on at least try to be a good enough person so the next generation doesn't have to suffer for your stupidity. Please and thanks...
Bandwagonists:
Next on the list we have the aforementioned wagonists of the band species. Now to be fair we all have our bandwagonist moments. For the few people that may not know a bandwagonist is someone who mindlessly goes along with an action or idea, without any real reason other than other people are doing it. The latest reason this pisses me off is all the people that jumped on the Oppa Gangnam Style song that took the world by storm over the last month or so. Let me just go on record saying that if at this stage you do not have even an inkling of what Oppa Gangnam Style is then please go kill yourself if you are under the age of 30 because obvious you serve no purpose in this age of technology. Anywhore all these people that at first when the song came out hated it or thought it was stupid suddenly started going around talking about how its an awesome song once the song went mainstream and blew up. These people make me so angry I want to punch a baby in the face; do you have any idea how angry one has to be to punch a baby in the face? No? Didnt think so; that's pretty freaking angry. So to all those people and yes you know who you are a big "fuck you" to you "Oppa Gangnam Style!!!"
Posers/Faker:
A poser is someone who tries to fit into a profile they aren't. People who try to give off the impression that they are one thing when they are really another. We see them everyday; the girl that has to have all the latest clothing and accessories to show the world how well off she is; or the guy that randomly enters a conversation awkwardly trying to fit in and be a part of the group. This is ever more so prevalent in our schools as this is technically where the young minds of our future are shaped and grown. which sadly is also why most of life turns out to be just like school; one big popularity contest. We live in a world where individuality is reprimanded and uniformity is heralded, for we are all sheep to be herded by the guile of society. By all means though have the common sense to think for yourself and see what fits within your individualism. Its a reason certain uniformity is needed in society as rules are meant to guide us, but certainly not to rule us; this is why they are also called guidelines. Don't find yourself in a situation like Clarence where your eagerness to fit into a role you aren't meant for is exposed...
Well that takes care of that, as always your comments and thoughts are encouraged and appreciated. For those experiencing Hurricane Sandy in the USA at the moment I hope this could put a smile on your face and/or entertain you as you strap in for quite the ride. It hit Jamaica pretty bad but we are rebuilding and restoring all that was lost as best we can. So keep calm and carry on; you are a first world country so I have faith in y'all, you shouldn't have third world problems like our tiny island so all the best to you.

Gameplay - 7/10
Storyline - 10/10
Graphics - 9/10
Game Score : 26/30
Today is the day I finally get to play another intensely story driven game that I love so much. Sweet mother of god I love a good story driven game, granted there are a few snags here and there with the game-play infrastructure I was so into the story I made do and trudged ahead. Anywhore thinking i'm going to approach this differently and keep it simple since this game has been out for a while. So lets look at the epic tale of I Am Alive...
The game takes place one year after America has gone through a massive disaster known simply as "The Event," which included earthquakes that destroyed most cities and areas. Due to the damage of the aftermath, many people are forced to go without resources. The government tries to help citizens, but their attempts are useless. Supplies become low and this causes citizens to become agitated, violent and bitter. A male survivor (who is never named in the game) travels to his old home of the fictional city Haventon, to rescue his wife Julie and daughter Mary.
The Good:
I love the story line behind this game, you really connect with the main character and all the ups and downs he has to go through as you progress through the game. Little by little you find yourself growing and shaping him as you encounter various situations where you have a choice in-front of you. From choosing to execute downed enemies to deciding if you want to give your supplies to injured people who you meet along the way. Even though it has no direct effect on the character growth in the game you feel connected to him to the point it feels like it does. In reference to the graphics on PC they are leagues ahead of the console release of this game as expected, which adds even more value to the overall experience of the game. The game has an emphasis on climbing and exploration. Every effort has a cost and, when engaging in physically demanding activities, such as climbing or jumping, it is critical to manage the main character's stamina for him to survive. By managing stamina skillfully players are rewarded by accessing hidden paths, resources and other survivors.
The Bad:
Some of the interactions especially for fight sequences can be a bit stiff. I found myself trying to do as I was instructed but for whatever reason it would not work. I feel that maybe it would have been easier if kills weren't interaction based but instead something you could do freely once you had your machete equipped. Granted that the game is a survival horror third person game and not a first person shooter i'll excuse this next point but I still have to make mention of it. The aiming mechanic for the gun in this game is in need of dire revision, way too many times I found myself missing targets I knew I was aiming on properly. The difficulty of the game itself at times can be daunting but that in itself is part of what makes it a good game.
The Ugly Truth:
The game is good. Not great but the story in and of itself is what carries it off so nicely. Maybe i'm being biased but I would like to think that people enjoy playing an engaging and interactive gaming experience. I would not recommend this game to the average casual gamer however even though there is an easy mode option that gives you unlimited retries. I feel that to truly experience what this game offers you have t be willing to experience the same type of survival risk that the character goes through. Knowing that you are low on supplies , retries, pitons, etc. can really change your frame of mind and the way you play the game as a whole.
Well that's it from us here at Zalgo_Cometh so feel free to check out our little game-play with commentary as always. So until next time; keep on gaming...

Well you heard what they said, today we are playing basketball. Welcome to another video game review here on Zalgo Cometh, today we will be reviewing the newly released NBA 2k12. NBA 2K12 is a basketball video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It was released on October 4, 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, PC, Wii and for the first time on iOS iPhone and iPad. For the first time there will be three different covers to choose from when picking up the game, with Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan being the cover athletes of the game.
The game revolves around 3 main sections:
- My Player mode returns from NBA 2K10 and NBA 2K11.3 G.M.s interview a basketball player before the draft and good conversations can increase his Draft stock. Other improvements are more endorsements where a player can be on billboards, be on magazine covers, create shoes and even an NBA "Where Amazing Happens" commercial.
- Creating a Legend mode also returns from NBA 2K11 with improvements of its own. Now instead of taking a rookie Michael Jordan onto any team, players take control of any current NBA player and play out the rest of his career. It has most of the same features as "My Player mode" except the fact that players use a current NBA player rather then a custom player.
- NBA's Greatest mode: For the first time, gamers will be able to take control of some of the most iconic players in NBA history, such as Hakeem Olajuwon and Michael Jordan and put them against other classic and modern-day teams to create NBA dream matchups. Each of these 15 basketball legends has been meticulously recreated with an uncanny level of detail.
My experience with this game has been somewhat new as I have not played a basketball game in a while. I congratulate them on the technicality and complexity of the game but feel that their should be a bit of a lower entry point of learning for the game. As I found it a tad difficult to know what I was doing right off the bat had it not been for my limited real world basketball knowledge and the tips I received from my friend who is a fan of the series. Fans of this series will definitely enjoy the subtle tweaks to the A.I. and controls of the game as well as the updated rosters. The game features a exciting soundtrack and does a very good job presenting itself graphically capturing the essence and fast paced action of basketball...
