The Way Of The Ninja Is Riddled With QTE's

Gameplay - 10/10
Storyline - 7/10
Graphics - 7/10
Game Score : 24/30

Well I are back after moving yet again; sorry if this isn't up to the usual level of reviewing you might be used to. Sorry for the short game-play footage but this review is gonna be pretty cut and dry since I am in the middle of writing this as a precaution in case I couldn't find the time to write it today. With the release of the newest Ninja Gaiden game upcoming I found myself thinking about ninja games in general. I can honestly say there aren't that many and even less actually being noteworthy of recognition. Ninja Blade however is definitely one of them; I honestly don't recall reviewing this game but I really should have originally. Lets rectify this oversight now:

Ninja Blade is a video game developed and published by From Software for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360. The game has been categorized as a "cinematic action game," combining a mixture of hack and slash elements with context-sensitive commands. The player plays as a modern-day ninja, using a katana, twin swords and broad sword as the main weapon to the hostile creatures. Combat system is filled with fast paced action reminiscent of the Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry series. A chi bar is used up when "ninja vision" or ninjutsu is used. The fighting engine consists of a combo system similar to Ninja Gaiden with light attacks and heavy attacks which when used in combination can bring forth damaging combos to plow your way through the enemies that come your way.

QTE's play a integral role int he game-play mechanic of Ninja Blade. From boss battles down to regular mob creatures there is no situation that a QTE will not make better. The game-play is highly cinematic, relying on quick time events to finish missions; after attacking a boss until the health bar is empty, the player must perform a finishing move, called the todome. This is however not only limited to boss fights as opportunities for quick kill combos arise when fighting normal mob monsters; so be vigilant in your button presses. It is this level of excitement and on the edge of your seat gripping intensity that makes me enjoy playing QTE games and as such recommend them to any and everyone.

Thanks For Stopping By
