Is It Over?

Since this has been talked and examined to death already I am going to keep this short and sweet. Well, all in all it had to be pretty obvious that I was gonna have to say something about this considering how big a deal this is. Ten years; wow, I can barely remember where I was or who I was doing during the events of September 11th, can you? Yet the horrors that were visited upon the American people that day not only affected a great nation, it affected the world. I cannot even begin to imagine what the various Americans across the globe felt when it was confirmed that Osama Bin Laden was dead on Sunday May 1, 2011. Aside from the typical run-of-the-mill American, many families and friends of those directly affected by the events of that day most certainly must have felt an immense weight lifting off their backs. Just knowing that the person responsible for their pain and sorrow was finally brought to justice must have been one hell of an emotional roller-coaster ride.

Even though it took 10 years it is better to be late than never; I know many will attribute this to the leadership and vision of current president Barack Obama and by all means one should give credit where credit is due. Gotta admit the "black president' is doing the Presidency proud I must say, but we should never forget the men and women on the front lines; some of who have lost life and limb fighting for the freedom so many Americans enjoy. As my older brother who happens to be a part of the American Army so eloquently posted on his facebook status: "It was a member of the military that took out Bin Laden. It was not a President, a member of Congress or any other politican trying to take credit. Remember that in the coming days while everyone claims that they brought Bin Laden to justice. And remember its been the family members of those troops that have been deployed worldwide that have sacrificed."

No matter where your allegiance may lie we can all agree wholeheartedly that the world can breathe a collective sigh of relief now knowing that Osama Bin Laden is dead. Another chapter written in the annals of American history, now the question is what will happen next? Will this absence of for lack of a better term 'evil mastermind' seemingly give rise to an even greater threat to come? So many questions so little answers; I don't even want to get into all the conspiracy theories that people are going to concoct in the wake of all this happening. For now however let us bask in the happiness and satisfaction of knowing that there is one less evil bastard in the world; just like this guy is...

I only hope his are female virgins. Else he'd be screwed!! But in all seriousness, it's still a lil shocking and still somewhat hard to believe. Like you said Rion, 10 years. That's long. But hey, what's done is done an a done it done.

Tru words to what ur bro said, i really tink ppl need to open their eyes up to all thats really lost for one man bt justice was served still dnt get the whole tradition about bury at sea thing thou bt hey their country their ruling, but in years of seeing how these things play out just show me that in the future a worst leader shall come forth and do worst things, sadly i wish the troops can really come home and say its over. they all still will be in my hearts

That Fateful Day I was about to be floured and beaten in my Dorm Room N6. When a newsflash came on TV-J / CVM brodcasting Good Morning America got away from a beating and lost my birthday. I wish this was over but it is not we are officially locked in the Eye For An Eye Cycle. Half-blind people all about. Only one way to end it let your blood be drawn and refuse to acknowledge it give those in some cases deluded persons in their country what they want leave them in their country sell them no guns or other weapons but it is easier said than done Quincy
