Are You Ready To Move On...

So unless you have been living under a rock you should know by now about rumors of a celestial being and cataclysmic world event taking place that will spell the end of humanity as we know it. Just so we have all the bases covered even though the prediction concerns God's judgement it could vary depending on what your definition of God is; from Allah to Zalgo we all have our similar and different beliefs. This prediction comes to us with an exact date of May 21st, 2011 from the wonderful god fearing people at www.familyradio.comFamily Radio (Family Stations Inc.), is based in Oakland, California, and is a non-commercial, 24-hour, listener-supported, Christian radio religious broadcasting network in the United States, founded in 1959 by Richard Palmquist, Lloyd Lindquist, and Harold Camping. Even though they say they are Christians of sorts Family Radio relies solely on listener-supported funding and donations, and is unaffiliated with any other religious denomination.

Now I know i'm not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed or Mr. holier than thou but I can't help but share in the cynicism and uncertainty that many others; even devout Christians seem to have about this prediction. Personally my main qualm is why the hell are these Family Radio people so special that they are the only ones that God chose to reveal this exact date to? However as with all things religiously based we see the typical quoting of scripture and interpretations which at its core is exactly the main downfall and support of their points. The same scriptures and what not they use to prove their findings are from the same source of information that others use to disprove their findings. Its like some twisted paradox of inception finding meaning withing a meaning within another meaning. Think of it like if I came to you and showed you the dictionary and the meaning of a word but then right after you show me a word in the same dictionary that disproves the meaning of the word I just showed you. Not to mention the fact that they are not directly related to any religious factions or organizations tends to make me think of them more as a cult than an actual church of sorts. I may come off as sounding cynical or condescending but i'm just ranting my opinion of the situation with what little understanding of the topic I have. I think this guy makes some valid points as well...
