Water Is Life...

Gameplay - 7/10
Storyline - 8/10
Graphics - 9/10
Game Score : 24/30

This game is just like your significant other should be after a passionate kiss; nice and wet. Hydrophobia Prophecy is a survival-adventure video game developed by Dark Energy Digital and published by Microsoft Game Studios for Xbox Live ArcadeHydrophobia Prophecy is described as version 1.5 of the Xbox 360 version of the game. Thankfully it was also released on PC on May 9th 2011, this game is more than just your typical port and you really see the beauty of the water graphics and physic on a capable machine. This is due to HydroEngine; which is a video game engine created by Blade Interactive for the game Developed over three years, it has a unique capability which allows modelling of flowing water and other liquids for the first time. It is entirely dynamic, which means the effect is not repeated and thus allowing different effects each time. The engine can also interface with solid body physics engines such as Havok, which allows objects and debris to be carried with the flow.

This game pleasantly surprised me and I would recommend to all to try it if your machine can handle it because seeing all the water at optimal graphical potential is really a big feature of the game. This game I think fill a void of sorts that I think has been missing for a while in video gaming; I couldn't help but liken the main character to Lara Croft of the Tomb Raider series. Which I think is a great gaming series but very lonely in its own right as far as strong lead female character based games go. Be forewarned that this game is a survival-adventure game; emphasis on survival; as the name denotes theres lots of water and many opportunities for drowning not to mention the other various instruments of death in the game. Please do feel free to go get yourself a copy of this game and try it out...

This one has pretty incredible 'liquid' physics as well as interesting gameplay that utilizes it. It really appealed to me much but for some reason the cons have kept me from playing up to this point. :(
