The Land Of the Free (Part 3)

Gameplay - 7/10
Storyline - 6/10
Graphics - 7/10
Game Score : 20/30

Hey y'all; here we are in week three of free games month here on Zalgo Cometh. It is time for another video game review and today we will be looking at Slender. Slender is a free indie-developed psychological horror/survival horror video game released in June 2012 as a beta for Microsoft Windows and OS X. The game is based on the Something Awful forums' creation, Slender Man.

Slender begins with the player in a forest at night. The player is equipped with a flashlight that has a battery which must be conserved. The player is able to jog for a short period before running out of breath. There are 10 different landmarks scattered throughout the woods including vehicles, a building, a giant tree, rocks, brick walls, a stone pillar, a tunnel, cut down trees, and fuel tanks. Dirt paths are present, but the player is able to travel in any direction and is only bound by fences which enclose the area. The goal of the game is to find a total of eight pages hidden on 8 of the 10 major landmarks in the forest, though collecting the 8 pages will not end the game. Each page is a message or drawing concerning Slender Man, who pursues the player through the forest. Each time the player collects a page (or if the player fails to collect a page after a certain period of time) Slender Man's pursuit of the player becomes more urgent. Asked a friend of mine to play the game as well and give me his input and here is what he had to say...

So since I got this from the Boss, to do a review on. I decide to just jump right into the game. Without knowing the legend of the game slender is something you should not try to do, trust me. This cat and mouse game give you at least fifteen minutes of game play if you mange  to make it to the last page. If not, it's a game not for the weak hearted,  that would scare you and your friends into a heart attack or give you high ratings in your YouTube video about them. It's a simple sandbox game that you can get trap and lost in if you do not know where you're going. If you can get past the low graphics, eerie noise and a paranormal creature that is hunting you. It's a great game to see who gets scared the fastest and loudest. This is Sir. Chalo Underpants signing out.

Well think he pretty much covered it all; not much to say since its a short free game but if you want to check it out for yourself you can go to  and download it or click here. Well until next time folks try not to die from a heart attack, its a lot fun being scared at times so be sure you try out the game or you can just watch me suffer through it here...

Thanks For Stopping By
