Sports Entertainment For The Ages.....

Gameplay - 9/10
Storyline - 8/10
Graphics - 8/10
Game Score : 25/30

WRESTLING IS NOT FAKE!!!!!! I have lost count how many times over the years I have shouted this statement to others. I grew up loving wrestling and will continue to do so; women have their daytime drama's and men have their Sports Entertainment, its that simple. With that being said over the years I have grown and come to accept that wrestling is scripted but still very much real in all other aspects and I salute, respect and admire the men and women who put their bodies on the line to bring me and many others like me, quality entertainment over the span of my lifetime. Between fans of wrestling however there exists some portion of long standing contention between the 'golden era' of wrestling and the current wrestlers continuing the tradition; this game solves that problem...

For the first time we can actually see a fair representation of what it would be like for the legends of the WWE to face off with the up and coming talent present in the company today. Seemingly with perfect timing this game is released right before Wrestlemania XXVII a week ago where we saw an epic confrontation between John Cena and The Rock. Now even though we will have to wait until Wrestlemania XXVIII to actually see The Rock and John Cena go at it, we at least have this game to play out the match for ourselves and affect the outcome if and how we see fit. This game provides players with the grandiloquent and flamboyant style of wrestling that as children we all grew up knowing and loving.

At the end of the day; hate it, love it or just indifferent at some point or another we have all come in contact with wrestling fever; some of us just haven't gotten over the symptoms as yet. This game is definitely a new take on the series of wrestling games we have grown accustomed to seeing. We go from the realistic, simulation side of wrestling to this arcade type look on the fun and overly exaggerated side of wrestling is most definitely a welcome change to the franchise. Even more so you can create your own wrestler and make the perfect wrestler in your own vision; i'm thinking making a wrestler as acrobatic as Rey Mysterio but as big and strong as The Ultimate Warrior. With so much to appeal to the masses in this game if you're not down with that then I got two words for you.....
