MAN Is Actually Spelled MYAN

What makes a MAN? A simple yet complicated question with answers that have changed from generation to generation based on our societal values and changes. Today I feel like talking a bit about this; first of all let me inform you of something you probably didn't know; MAN is actually spelled MYAN but the Y is silent and invisible so no one ever uses it. MYAN is actually an acronym and not a word; as it stands for Muscular Yet Authoritative & Nice. So see you are already learning something new and we haven't even started the bitching and moaning. To further understand this concept let me introduce a term called the "Alpha Male"; an alpha male is the top-ranking animal in a social group. Some animals live in a social structure where the more powerful male in the group is decided by either simple play-fights or even very aggressive battles. The current alpha male must defend his ranking from younger members. When he is too old or not strong enough to win, he loses his position in the group. The result of this is that the alpha male usually has more opportunity to mate with the available females. This system developed because strong males will produce young which have a better chance for survival. As silly as it may seem we humans fall into this characteristic; even if not to the exact literal meaning of the term.

Since the dawn of time there has always been this stereotype of being the best *cue Pokémon theme song in your mind* but it was never really explained or taught it was just an inane desire to be better than your fellow man; whether it was for being the better huntsman, craftsman, sportsman, etc. Coincidentally enough these roles all end with the word man but I digress; over the years many characteristics of being a man have come and gone but there are some widely accepted that remain true to this day. There is no such thing as a perfect man but if you can manage to have at least half or more of these traits then you are well secure in your manhood and your role in society or at the very least are guaranteed to procreate. So let's go through this little old list of mine and see what traits are needed for one to be more of an Alpha Male:

1. Confidence aka Pretty Boy Swag - This is quintessential element that is of utmost importance as it give a man a fighting chance in comparison to other men. You could be severely lacking in many other areas but if you have the confidence to pull it off then you will undoubtedly command the attention of others around you. 2. Aesthetically pleasing - This speaks to the physical looks of the male being a strong healthy looking individual. This can range from meaning superficially in relation to clean skin or a muscular build to having good genealogy to ensure the birth of more dominant males/females to add to our society to strengthen the evolution of our species. 3. Nice - Who doesn't like a nice guy? Whether you are looking for one to take advantage of or one to genuinely be there for you nice guys are a somewhat rare and valued commodity typically associated with chivalry. However, in it lies a paradox of sorts because even though it's good to be a nice guy, no one takes a nice guy who tries to please everyone seriously and this leads to the taking advantage of that I mentioned previously. So it is up to you to find the balance between nice guy and bad boy. In keeping with the theme watch this video for further illustration -
4. Honest - As a very famous and iconic figure once said "All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break them for no one." A true man knows and practices this mentality as these are the two things we are born into this world with and leave this world with. As such they are to be taken very seriously and never misused or abused. Our word is our bond and our pride as men should never allow us to fall short of upholding that bond and sense of pride. Just so you know, no male can truly call himself a man and not have watched this movie; just saying. You know the drill by now -
5. Resourceful - For most of the earth's natural history, men have been the dominant race that spearheaded the future of the species and took on that role of ensuring that things happen as needed. Whether it was foraging for food, creating a renaissance, leading a revolution or boldly going where no man has gone before on the final frontier (Star Trek reference). A man needs to have the resourcefulness to accomplish goals; simply put he exercises his will to find a way. So many videos to choose from so little time -

So there you have it; my top 5 traits that determine a man's worth so to speak. I'm sure there are females and males out there that will disagree with what I have said or even how I have said it but I don't care.
