Gameplay - 7/10
Storyline - 8/10
Graphics - 8/10
Game Score : 23/30

Hey y'all; with all the hype this last week leading up to the release in theaters of The Dark Knight Rises it seemed like a sign from the heavens that my editor brought this game to my attention to review. Today we will be looking at Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes from developers Traveller's Tale and published by Warner Bro's Interactive Entertainment.

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a 2012 Lego action-adventure video game developed by Traveller's Tales, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. The game is a sequel to Lego Batman: The Videogame. A large variety of playable DC characters within the Batman continuity and outside it will be playable characters. I will admit at first glance I didn't think this would be much fun for me, but man was I wrong. After jumping into the game playing co-op mode (yes it has co-op) I ended up sitting and playing for what seemed like an eternity with my editor. Gotta say she definitely picked a great game to showcase to you guys this week.

Lego Batman 2 DC Super Heroes features an open world concept. The game's gameplay is similar to its predecessor, Lego Batman: The Videogame, but allowing players to play as classic Batman characters and other various DC Comics superheroes, such as Robin, Batgirl, Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. There are about 50 playable characters. New gadgets such as Robin's Hazard Cannon, Superman's heat vision, and a Power Suit for Batman were introduced. An optional 2-player cooperative play mode, is also present. However, a split screen is used, due to the game having an open-world environment. Most of Gotham City can be broken into "bricks", as players can use the broken bricks to build new suits or construct objects that can help solve puzzles. Just be sure to keep an eye out for them as you play because sometimes you might overlook them; god knows how many times that happened to me...

With all things considered I think this is my second or third Lego based game and as simple as they seem they are hella fun to play. The game invokes that child-like element of fun just experiencing the Lego world in all its grandeur; and trust me this game has a huge ass open world. So many paths and places to choose each place with its own visual styling and appeal to compliment each section of the game as you progress. The dialogue and character interaction in game is also noteworthy especially considering that Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is the first in the Traveller's Tales's Lego series to do so. Then there is the monetary system (well that's what I call it) in the game where you get these little pieces of Lego bits every time you basically destroy something (enemies or environment). Collecting these are integral to the game as you can use these to buy and improve on various aspects of the game; I will let you discover the rest about that for yourself if you play. Overall a solid balanced game in my opinion that can be enjoyed by any type of gamer; with tonnes of exploration to be had and replay value in its unlocking system.Well that's all I have to say so a final word from our editor and you can go enjoy our co-op play-through. Editors Note -*"This game is awesome and keep on gaming."*
