As many of you might know this game is fashioned from an actual movie released in theaters recently and for those who never heard of this movie please feel free to take a look at the trailer below. So lemme talk a little about the movie and then the game; Battle Los Angeles is a 2011 military science fiction war film directed by Jonathan Liebesman. Starring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Peña, Ne-Yo, Ramon Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan it was released on March 11th 2011. The film is set in modern day Los Angeles and follows a platoon of U.S. Marines during a global alien invasion, who are joined by an Airman and some Army infantry. Bearing this in mind the video game is more or less a carbon copy of the movie; I mean like seriously you could play the video game and have more or less the full understanding of what happens in the movie.

It was released for the Xbox Live Arcade and Windows on March 11, 2011, the same date the film was released. The game was released on March 22, 2011 for the PlayStation Network.The game gives the player the chance to be one step closer to the movie by having the player play the role of a marine in the heat of the confrontation helping to ultimately save Los Angeles. With that being said however they seemingly used all the money to make the money and then what was left over to make a game to try and maximize their profits off the hype of the movie. This game got no media spotlight as far as I know of and i'm sure not many people knew of this games existence beforehand and were waiting on the release date. The game graphics are sub-par and reminiscent of PS2 graphics not to mention the transitions between levels and cut scenes are done in a comic book style which doesn't add much to improving the visual appeal of the game. One thing I know for sure though the simplicity of this game makes it highly enjoyable and a breeze for both hardcore gamers and casual gamers alike.
