There is no doubt that after nearly 11 years of waiting this game is bound to be a huge success. With a wide range of over 30 different characters, their will be without a doubt characters familiar to you from the Marvel or Capcom universe. So far there has been only two confirmed characters for downloadable content: Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine. With a slightly new fight engine and a major graphics overhaul MvC3 is a strong fighting game to help build the fighting genre of gaming community for both casual and tournament play. The developers have seemingly taken it one step further and unlike Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which featured four attack buttons separated as two pairs of low and high-strength punches and kicks,Marvel vs. Capcom 3 uses a simplified, three-button control scheme of undefined light, medium, and hard attacks modeled. This better enables all players new and old to pick up the game with relative ease and be able to more or less be on an equal playing field. I have not personally had the privilege of playing this game but i have been privy to a live stream of the game in action and i must say it does the series well. My only complaint is the genericness of the final boss battle seen in this series of games. basically being that there is a huge boss type figure that you have to jump in the air and spam projectiles or such to beat. i would have preferred they taken the route of the conventional fighting game and designate one really evil character to be the boss in one final all out battle; but then again Galactus is pretty awesome. If your a fan of the series or fighting games in general this one is a no-brainer it's definitely worth the buy.
